week 5: team goals, capstone ideas, and weekly learnings

part 1: supporting teammate's goals

part 2: ideas for capstone

After looking into all of the amazing capstone projects presented earlier this year, I feel inspired. Here are 3 ideas that I have:

  1. some type of productivity app or habit tracker: I personally use to-do apps, calendar apps, and physical notes too, because I wasn't able to find an application that served all of my productivity needs. Building something that serves all of these purposes would be awesome.
  2. using AI to parse data for the healthcare field: There are a lot of functions in the healthcare, dental, and vision fields that require people to write on clipboards, office staff need to manually type out that data, and correlate it to health charts. I feel that this could be automated or optimized with AI.
  3. a poker or card game simulator: I personally don't know how to play a lot of card games, including traditional poker. There were many times I wish there was an app that focused on teaching individuals or groups how to play card games quickly on their phone, so they could transition to playing in person.

part 3: weekly learnings

This week, I spent some time reviewing the Writing Lab videos and learned about writing a stakeholder analysis. I haven't finished the assignment using AI yet, but I'm looking forward to getting that finished. I also learned about what stakeholders are, and the 5 types of claims. I am really excited to use and learn more about generative AI because it has gotten a lot more complex and exciting. It's also very easy to use, and incredibly accessible. I also started reading How to Win Friends and Influence People for the lecture extra credit assignment, and I'm really enjoying it! There are a lot of valuable lessons that can be used at school, with friends, and even at work. Finally, I reviewed the Capstone videos in the Module 5 lecture and also downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud, since it's free for students to use. I'm hoping to review the optional reading on grad school and internships later today.
